We stayed for a couple of days and loved it and didn’t want to leave!

It was absolutely gorgeous!!

Because of how gorgeous it is, you are far from the main area and it’s a hot walk and tiring but you really don’t need to leave the resort it has everything you need!

Exceptional

The hotel is accessed via longtail boat, which made for a memorable entrance to the venue. We loved the fact that Viking Resort had it's own private beach, nice for sundowners and warm water that was great for swimming. You can easily walk to the main town as well, it takes around 10minutes. The hotel rooms offer a more rustic feel, with a hammock on the balcony to relax in. The food at the hotel was very good. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!

The location allowed us to feel in balance with the nature.

The location allowed us to feel in balance with the nature... very peaceful and at the same time not quite far from the center (after partying it would take us about 10-15’minutes walking)

So many mosquitoes... but I guess that’s common in the island.

Air conditioning was really good, the room was lovely and clean and there was a fridge and freezer available to use.

Our room was quite difficult to get to but it wasn’t a huge issue.

Amazing, stunning resort.

Loved the resort, really quirky, food and drinks are great and reasonably priced. Beach is beautiful and the sea is crystal clear, we loved relaxing on the bean bags. The room ‘wow’ it blew us away, it was huge and absolutely beautiful, the bed was lovely and comfortable. Loved the hammock on the balcony. We will 100% return.

Lovely private beach slightly spoiled by noise pollution from the huge number of long tails that constantly pass close b

The quiet location and private beach. Delightful friendly staff. Our room was lovely but difficult to access.the food was very good with an excellent breakfast and a toaster that worked!

The very steep and uneven outdoor staircase leading up to our room (A2)was dangerous and not for anyone with mobility issues which I have, having recently broken my leg). I had a lot of issues around the property with difficult steps. Our friends who are fitter also found their room the Sam see with uneven steps and a missing handrail. Would not recommend staying here if this is an issue. Also the service in the restaurant was cheerful and willing but could be chaotic at busy times. The constant noise of long tail boats to and from our beach and beaches beyond caused all day noise pollution.

Very beautiful and idyllic place to stay! AMAZING!

great bamboo bungalows, beautiful location at private beach, very helpful staff with luggage. when we booked a snorkeling trip, we received money back afterwards because an extra couple wanted to join us, we did not even asked for it! very friendly and fair!

shower was private but outside the bungalow, same for our luggage, there was an extra space to change and lock up luggage on he patio of our bungalow. I can understand that some people don't like those basic facilities but we loved it !!!! <3

Such amazing experience!One of the best places in Thailand!The hotel has its own private beach which is not overcrowded,so perfect for relaxation.We were living in a lovely bamboo house,with terrace and sea view and hammock!The little house surrounded by tropical forest,just amazing!It has everything you need,very comfortable.Also there is a restaurant on the beach with cheap and tasty food.Customer service is excellent too!Thank you everyone for making our stay unforgettable!Highly recommended place.

Paying everytime to get a boat to reach the hotel as you cant walk. No taxi. Unchanged stained bedsheets. That was even with a free upgrade.

Unique location and experience.

Unique location and experience. Great, spacious room (treehouse villa) with a few quirks. Feeling of being in nature. Lovely private beach. Nice evening and lunchtime food. Friendly staff.

Expect to put in some effort to get about (some steep climbs on outdoor staircases) but this is OK as it was as expected from info and other reviews provided. Breakfast could have been a bit better.

The room was the highlight of the stay, a little piece of jungle heaven with all the facilities. However the hotel needs

The family rooms were outstanding, 2 huge bedrooms with a balcony overlooking the crystal waters. A bit of a hike to get there, not the easiest access. Strollers can’t be used as there are steep stairs. The bathrooms were huge, with tub and shower, and clean. The access at the hotel is made mainly by taxi boat (100-150thb per person per ride). No need to worry as boats come and go all the time, including night time. The food at the restaurant is tasty, the prices are the same as in the village, with many options. The private beach is amazing, the water is clear, there are beanbags to lounge on and there is a massage hut right on the beach.

The facilities in the resort are run down, there is a bad smell in the breakfast serving area, and the breakfast is not appealing. I understand that it is hard to find employees, but they should be trained better. They have all the best intentions however they lack professionalism ( they are on the phone all the time, while preparing omelettes or grilling). The restaurant area is full of mosquitoes, and seems like it could use a good scrub. The fish from the restaurant are frozen, good, tasty, but not the freshly caught fish you would expect. The beach is great but rather small for all the guests in the hotel (although many people leave for daytrips). Expect to hear the noise from the longtail boats all day long.

Although the walk is long it's not too difficult.

Although the walk is long it's not too difficult. You do need good mobility however as it's not an even path to the rooms. As this is a nature resort we were expecting this so it wasn't a big deal for us. There is also a free boat transfer service to and from the pier on check in/out which was very helpful. Staff were fantastic, the carried our bags to the room on arrival which was not expected at all but an added bonus! The room itself was very comfortable. Spacious, comfortable and they look great! Would definitely stay here again.

Long walk between the town and accommodation. Also a long walk from reception to the room. Not very well sign posted and room could be difficult to find late at night when you were unfamiliar with the resort.

Everything was perfect. I am really in love with this place. Everything was high quality and it was still cheap. It has a private beach and on that beach you can get a massage! Food was amazing and also cheap. Rooms are fancy, well decorated and comfy.

The view, the beach, the restaurant was amazing. We took from the hotel a private boat that took us to koh lanta for 800 bath each very good. The room was beautiful big and with an excellent beach view

Be aware of the insects there are a lot but it's normal for the location, look the times for the free taxy for the pier at the reception otherwise you have to pay. If you have any kind of movement impediments it's a little problematic for the stairs and the boat (which is the only way to reach the place)

The hotel is situated at a very nice small, quiet beach.

The hotel is situated at a very nice small, quiet beach. The restaurant/bar offers delicious food with a awesome beach view! We had an superior doublebed room - we would at least recommend these rooms because the standard and traditional rooms are not that beautiful and look old and uncomfortable. The hammock was just awesome! :)

Honestly it is nowhere written in the internet - most parts of the hotel are under construction right now. Daytime people are working with hammers and saws to build up these new hoods (which look amazing)! The way into the town could be better built out. Keep in mind, that the way to the town takes about 20 minutes by foot (water taxi is possible) along the coastline/forest. Last but not least the ladies from the reception could be a little more friendly - but majority of the staff are very nice and friendly!
